These photographs were made to communicate the genius loci of Thyborøn. The town is situated at the terminal tip of a giant sandbank which divides the North Sea and Limfjorden. Thyborøn is dominated by the chimneys and bulk of the TripleNine Fish Protein plant which processes catches from the North and Baltic Seas. Since my first visit I have been intrigued by this outpost of people and industry that feels somehow at odds with the prevailing impression of urbane Denmark.
Photographs from Thyborøn. Work in progress.
